Our story started in 2018

"This thing started from me being curious about specialty coffee."


From having zero knowledge in third wave coffee, my specialty coffee journey started from listening to a barista who works at a specialty coffee shop The Vsnry in our city.

Before specialty, I'm a commercial coffee drinker and a heavy consumer of instant


coffee in the market but last 2018, I started to become a homebrewer. I started to brew and taste low-graded coffee and now slowly adapt to the specialty-graded.

 


At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, I learned about homebrewing, which now became my passion that leads me to become more serious about the third wave coffee scene. I started buying and tasting specialty coffee, learned different brewing styles/methods/approach, and customizing brewing water.

I met a group of people called KapeKapeKlub who are also eager and enthusiast as me about third wave coffee. People who are in this group pushed and helped me to learn more about third wave coffee.

 


This 2022, I will start to learn roasting, sourcing raw materials, improving my palate, and learn deeper about specialty coffee through Sero. A brainchild of all the thing I learned—and will learn in my specialty coffee journey.
